Uzbekistan officials consider the strikes carried out by Iran against Nakhchivan to be strictly unacceptable.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov made this statement while commenting on a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The minister noted that during the conversation, he expressed serious concern regarding the attacks launched against Nakhchivan today. "We emphasized that such actions, which contradict the principles of international law and violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state, are inadmissible," he wrote on his social media account.

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is an exclave of the Republic of Azerbaijan, sharing borders with Armenia, Turkey, and Iran. Maintaining the security and territorial integrity of this region is a priority for the official Baku administration. This diplomatic support from Uzbekistan highlights the strengthening ties between Turkic states and a shared commitment to regional stability and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
