Vens: Respublikaçıları 2026-cı il seçkilərində çətin dövr gözləyir

US Vice President J.D. Vance has stated that the upcoming Congressional midterm elections will present significant challenges for the Republican Party. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from international media, Vance shared these insights during an interview with Fox News.

“Midterm elections are always very difficult for the party in power. If we look at history, even when the situation in the country is good, midterm elections often result in negative outcomes for the ruling party,” Vance noted.

The next US midterm Congressional elections are scheduled for November 3, 2026. Analysts are currently forecasting that Republicans may face the risk of losing their majority in the House of Representatives. Experts attribute this potential shift to several factors, including declining approval ratings for the administration, rising inflation, and public dissatisfaction regarding foreign policy, particularly concerning military operations involving Iran.

Recent polling conducted jointly by the New York Times and the Siena College Research Institute indicates growing public disillusionment with the US political system. According to the survey, 43 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with both major political parties. Furthermore, 80 percent of those dissatisfied voters believe that the US economic and political system requires significant reform or a complete overhaul, with over 70 percent of respondents characterizing the current economic system as unfair.

Midterm elections in the United States occur halfway through a president's four-year term. These elections are widely viewed as a referendum on the incumbent administration's performance, often serving as a barometer for the political climate ahead of the next presidential cycle.
