Ukraine has launched a strike on the Saki military airfield located in the occupied Crimean peninsula.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Interfax-Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed the operation in an official statement.
The strike successfully targeted hangars housing Russian fighter jets, resulting in significant damage to enemy military assets stationed at the facility.
The Saki airfield, located near the town of Novofedorivka, has historically served as a critical hub for Russian naval aviation in the Black Sea region. Since the onset of the full-scale conflict, Ukrainian forces have increasingly utilized long-range strikes and specialized operations to degrade Russian military infrastructure within Crimea, aiming to disrupt logistics and air support capabilities for Russian operations in southern Ukraine.
