Ukrayna ilə bağlı danışıqlardan sonra yekun bəyanatın verilməsi gözlənilir

A final statement is expected to be released following the second day of negotiations held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing a source close to the negotiations in a statement to RIA Novosti, that the final declaration is planned to be announced by representatives of the UAE. The discussions aim to establish a framework for de-escalation and potential peace terms between the involved parties.

On February 4, a high-level trilateral meeting took place in Abu Dhabi featuring representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. The Russian delegation is led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The United States is represented by Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump. The Ukrainian delegation includes Kyrylo Budanov, Rustem Umerov, and other senior officials.

The hosting of these talks in the United Arab Emirates underscores the Gulf nation's growing role as a neutral mediator in international conflicts. Abu Dhabi has previously facilitated high-profile prisoner exchanges and diplomatic dialogues, leveraging its strategic position and balanced relations with both Western powers and regional actors to foster global stability. These negotiations come at a critical juncture as the international community seeks a diplomatic path to end the protracted hostilities in Eastern Europe.
