Ukrainian forces have launched strikes on two additional warehouses belonging to the e-commerce giant Wildberries within Russian territory.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this information was confirmed by Tatyana Kim, the company's co-founder and CEO.
The attacks targeted logistics complexes located in the southern Russian cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk. Footage circulating from the scene in Krasnodar showed a massive plume of smoke rising from the facility.
The Ukrainian side maintains that the strikes are intended to weaken Russia's military logistics. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the targeted facilities served as logistics hubs supplying the Russian military with drone components and other equipment. The Kremlin has denied allegations that Wildberries facilities are linked to military supplies.
This incident follows a series of recent attacks on the company's infrastructure. Last Saturday, a drone strike on a Wildberries facility reportedly resulted in eight fatalities, significant fires, and disruptions to the company's operations.
Veniamin Kondratyev, the governor of the Krasnodar region, announced that 10 people were injured in the latest attack. Emergency services deployed helicopters and over 100 firefighters to combat the blaze.
In response to the ongoing security challenges, the Russian e-commerce lobby group AUREK has appealed to the government, requesting a six-month tax deferral for companies affected by the attacks. Wildberries remains one of Russia's largest employers and a dominant online retail platform, playing a critical role in the country's domestic consumer market.
