The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a series of drone strikes overnight on July 22, targeting major "Wildberries" logistics centers located in Russia's Krasnodar and Stavropol regions.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the strikes caused significant disruption to the company's operations.
Tatyana Kim, CEO of Wildberries, confirmed that logistics centers in the cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk were hit. "There are casualties as a result of the incident, and operations at both centers have been temporarily suspended," she stated.
Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov reported that a fire at the warehouse complex in Nevinnomyssk left five people injured, three of whom are in critical condition. Local authorities in Krasnodar reported that 10 individuals sustained injuries at the warehouse complex there.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strikes, stating that the operations targeted logistics hubs used by the Russian military to supply components, navigation devices, and equipment for unmanned aerial vehicles. Zelensky added that Ukrainian forces also struck another oil depot, along with a tanker and four dry cargo ships belonging to Russia's so-called "shadow fleet."
Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported that one person was killed in an attack on an oil depot in the city of Armavir. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 242 Ukrainian drones were destroyed across 16 regions of the country. Conversely, the Ukrainian side reported that Russia launched one ballistic missile, three guided aviation missiles, and 216 drones, resulting in one death in the Odessa region and five injuries, including a child, in the Kyiv region.
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which escalated significantly in February 2022, has frequently involved long-range drone and missile strikes targeting critical infrastructure, logistics, and energy facilities deep within both territories. These attacks are part of a broader strategy to degrade military supply chains and economic capabilities essential for sustaining frontline operations.
