Turkey has dispatched a convoy of humanitarian aid filled with medical supplies to neighboring Iran to support the country's healthcare needs.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu announced the initiative on his X social media account.
"In accordance with humanitarian principles, we continue to support the oppressed in every corner of our spiritual geography, healing wounds and reviving hopes. With this conviction, our aid trucks loaded with medical supplies and equipment have set off toward neighboring Iran. We will continue to mobilize all our available resources for those awaiting healing, maintaining an approach that prioritizes human life," the minister stated.
This humanitarian gesture underscores the ongoing bilateral cooperation between Ankara and Tehran in the field of public health and emergency response. Turkey has a long-standing history of providing regional assistance during medical shortages and natural disasters, often serving as a key logistical hub for humanitarian corridors in the Middle East.
