US President Donald Trump has sent a letter to President Ilham Aliyev, inviting Azerbaijan to join the newly established Peace Council as a founding member.

The plan, which has received support through UN Security Council Resolution 2803, involves the creation of the Peace Council as a new international organization and Transition Management Administration. "I am honored to invite the Republic of Azerbaijan to join as a founding member state and to become a party to the Charter of the Peace Council under your representation," the US President stated, adding that the body will serve as a unique platform for world leaders to invest in a secure future.
President Ilham Aliyev, in his reply, thanked US President Donald Trump for the invitation, viewing it as a symbol of the fruitful partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States. "Azerbaijan, by joining the Peace Council, will share its noble mission of ending the conflict in Gaza and building a safer and more prosperous future for all parties suffering from long-term conflict," President Ilham Aliyev noted.
