US President Donald Trump has expressed his desire for Russia and China to join the newly established Peace Council to address global security challenges.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the American leader emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue in resolving international disputes.
"Yes, I would like to see Russia and China there. Both countries are invited; there is no discrimination," US President Donald Trump stated regarding the participation of the two nations.
The American leader noted that the council, created to resolve existing conflicts worldwide, must include various global powers to be effective. The Peace Council held its inaugural meeting on February 19 in Washington, marking a significant shift in diplomatic efforts to stabilize volatile regions and foster international cooperation.
The establishment of the Peace Council comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions, where the involvement of major powers is seen as critical for sustainable peace. Historically, such high-level diplomatic initiatives in Washington have aimed to create a multilateral framework for de-escalating regional conflicts and addressing systemic threats to global stability. By including Russia and China, the administration seeks to bring all key stakeholders to the table to navigate complex security issues through direct negotiation.
