Garabagh FK is set to face German side Eintracht Frankfurt today in the seventh round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Speaking to the Operative Information Center-OMM, sports expert Elchin Jalilov stated that the upcoming match is of decisive importance for Garabagh's continued participation in the Champions League. He noted that a defeat could significantly diminish or even eliminate the team's hopes of advancing from the group stage:
"In this encounter, only a victory or a draw can be considered an acceptable result for Garabagh."
According to the expert, any defeat will further complicate the team's position in the tournament standings.
The expert also pointed out that weather conditions are a notable factor in this match. According to Elchin Jalilov, this could be one of the coldest games Garabagh has played during its years of participation in European competitions:
"Such weather conditions are usually considered more suitable for European teams. However, this factor alone does not decide the fate of the game."
He added that other factors currently favor the Azerbaijani representative. A recent coaching change at Eintracht Frankfurt and the German club's inconsistent results in recent matches provide certain advantages for Garabagh. The sports expert emphasized that psychological readiness remains the primary factor:
"If Garabagh enters the field fully prepared psychologically, they will not lose this match."
