Certificates confirming whether an individual is registered as a drug user will now be issued through the "ASAN Service" centers in Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this development follows a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on amending the "Decree on ensuring the activities of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
Under the updated regulations, the Ministry of Health will facilitate the issuance of these certificates through ASAN Service centers, streamlining the process for citizens requiring documentation regarding their status in state narcological medical institutions.
The ASAN Service, established in 2012, is a flagship initiative of the Azerbaijani government designed to modernize public administration. By centralizing various government services under one roof, the agency aims to eliminate bureaucracy, increase transparency, and improve the efficiency of public service delivery across the country.
