The Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly), Sahiba Gafarova, has met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, to discuss the strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties and bilateral relations.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the meeting was highlighted in a post on Sahiba Gafarova's official X social media account. "The developing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro contributes to the development of a stronger political dialogue and closer bilateral relations based on the principles of trust and friendship," the post stated.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro have seen steady growth since Montenegro's independence in 2006. Both nations have focused on expanding economic, cultural, and legislative cooperation, with high-level visits playing a pivotal role in aligning their strategic interests. The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) frequently engages in such international dialogues to promote Azerbaijan's foreign policy priorities and foster mutual understanding within global parliamentary networks.
