An organizing committee has been established for the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to formalize the committee's structure and mandate.

The decree emphasizes that promoting the economic and investment potential of the Republic of Azerbaijan internationally, improving the business environment, attracting foreign investment, ensuring the sustainable development of the non-oil sector, and strengthening the country's integration into the global economic system are key priorities of the state's socio-economic policy.

The document highlights that the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held in 2025, served as a vital platform for presenting the country's investment opportunities to the international business community. It facilitated the development of public-private partnerships, expanded cooperation with foreign investors and international financial institutions, and promoted new investment projects. The established collaborative ties have created a solid foundation for developing the forum into a sustainable international platform.

In accordance with the decree, an organizing committee has been established to ensure the regular convening of the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum. The committee is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, with the Minister of Economy serving as deputy chair. The committee includes heads of various government ministries, state agencies, and major infrastructure corporations, reflecting a comprehensive, whole-of-government approach to attracting foreign capital and fostering economic development in Azerbaijan.
