President Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Antalya on April 17.
During the meeting, the heads of state expressed satisfaction with the successful development of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas, based on the principle of "one nation, two states." The leaders discussed the further expansion of strategic cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, and defense industry, while also exchanging views on the current regional and international situation.
The meeting underscores the deep-rooted alliance between Baku and Ankara, which was further solidified by the Shusha Declaration signed in 2021. This strategic partnership plays a pivotal role in ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus, particularly regarding the restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and the development of the Middle Corridor international transport route.
