The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a successful attack on the US Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan, claiming the destruction of several American fighter jets stationed at the facility.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from the Tasnim news agency, the operation involved a significant missile barrage.
"The Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps utilized 12 ballistic missiles to strike areas housing American F-35, F-15, and F-16 fighter jets, as well as key US military facilities at the Al-Azraq airbase and command centers, resulting in the destruction of these assets and numerous fighter aircraft," the statement noted.
This development occurs against the backdrop of heightened geopolitical instability in the Middle East. The Al-Azraq airbase, located in eastern Jordan, serves as a critical hub for US military operations in the region.
