Consumers purchased goods worth 44 billion 256.1 million manats through Azerbaijan’s retail trade network in January-August this year.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reported the figures, citing the State Statistics Committee.
According to the data, retail trade turnover increased by 3.9% in real terms compared with the same period last year.
Retail trade turnover is a key indicator of consumer demand and household spending. The reported increase reflects growth in the volume of goods sold across Azerbaijan’s consumer market during the first eight months of the year.
