At least 390 American service members have been wounded since the start of operations against Iran, according to official data released by the Pentagon.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that of those injured, 346 individuals sustained their wounds during direct combat operations. The casualties include 231 Army personnel, 63 Navy sailors, 19 Marines, and 33 Air Force members. The report notes that the majority of the wounded have already returned to active duty.
General Dan Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, previously stated that a significant portion of the injuries sustained by American troops resulted from attacks carried out by Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). To date, a total of 13 American service members have been killed in the conflict. Six of these fatalities occurred in Kuwait and one in Saudi Arabia, while the remaining personnel lost their lives following the crash of a US tanker aircraft.
The ongoing military tensions come amid a period of heightened regional activity under the administration of US President Donald Trump. These developments follow years of escalating friction regarding maritime security and regional stability. The Pentagon continues to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing the importance of protecting strategic interests and personnel stationed across the Middle East to ensure the security of international energy corridors and allied territories.
