Intermittent rain is expected in the mountainous and foothill regions of Azerbaijan from July 4 to July 5, with precipitation continuing in some areas from July 6 through the daytime on July 8.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorology Service has issued an official weather advisory regarding these conditions.
Meteorologists warn that the rainfall may become intense and torrential in certain locations, accompanied by lightning and potential hail. Authorities have advised residents and travelers in these regions to exercise caution due to the volatile weather.
Furthermore, the service anticipates an increase in water levels across various rivers, with a high probability of short-term flash floods occurring in some mountain rivers. The National Hydrometeorology Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors Azerbaijan's climate patterns to provide early warnings for extreme weather events, ensuring public safety and infrastructure protection.
