Rayonlara dolu düşəcək: Hava xəbərdarlığı

Weather conditions in several mountainous and foothill regions of Azerbaijan are expected to be unstable with intermittent precipitation from the afternoon of May 12 through May 14.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service reported that short-term intensive rainfall, lightning, and hail are likely in specific areas during this period.

Authorities have warned that the heavy precipitation may lead to increased water levels in local rivers, with a possibility of short-term floods and mudflows in certain mountainous streams. Residents and travelers in these regions are advised to exercise caution as the sudden change in weather may impact visibility and road safety.

Azerbaijan's mountainous regions, particularly those within the Greater and Lesser Caucasus ranges, are frequently subject to rapid weather fluctuations during the spring months. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these patterns to provide timely alerts to the public and relevant government agencies to mitigate potential damage to infrastructure and the agricultural sector, which is particularly vulnerable to hail at this time of year.
