The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have detected and begun neutralizing a series of missile launches originating from Iran, official sources confirmed.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the IDF Press Service issued a formal statement regarding the escalation. "The Israel Defense Forces have identified missile fire from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel," the statement read.
The Ministry of Defense added that air defense systems are actively working to intercept the incoming threats. Residents across the country have been advised to remain near protected areas as the military continues its operations to ensure national security.
This latest escalation follows a period of heightened regional tensions between Tehran and Jerusalem. Iran's missile capabilities, which include various short and medium-range ballistic missiles, have long been a focal point of security concerns in the Middle East. Israel's multi-layered aerial defense network, including the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow systems, remains on high alert to counter such aerial incursions and protect civilian infrastructure.
