Rainy weather conditions are continuing across the territory of Azerbaijan, according to the latest data released on March 27 at 14:00.
The National Hydrometeorological Service told the Operative Information Center-OMM that precipitation is currently being observed throughout the country, with snow falling in the mountainous regions of Shahdag and Gryz.
The amount of precipitation recorded reached 19 mm in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, accounting for 81% of the monthly norm. Other recorded figures include 14 mm in Aghdam, Goygol, and Neftchala; 13 mm in Zardab, Barda, and Astara; 12 mm in Khizi and Lankaran; 11 mm in Beylagan, Jalilabad, and Dashkasan; 10 mm in Goranboy, Kurdamir, and Shamakhi; 9 mm in Lerik, Jabrayil, and Sabirabad; 8 mm in Shirvan; 7 mm in Khaltan, Yardimli, Mingachevir, Gadabay, and Ganja; 6 mm in Goychay; 5 mm in Shamkir and Oguz; 4 mm in Agstafa; 3 mm in Tovuz and Quba; 2 mm in Julfa, Shabran, Qakh, and Qusar; and 1 mm in Balakan and Zagatala.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric processes to provide accurate forecasts for the Republic. Such fluctuations in precipitation levels are characteristic of the spring season in the region, often influenced by the interaction of diverse climate zones across the Caucasus. These weather patterns play a crucial role in the country's water resources management and agricultural planning for the upcoming season.
