A criminal case has been initiated regarding a deliberate murder in the Surakhani district of the capital, the district prosecutor's office reported on March 20.
The Surakhani District Prosecutor's Office told Operative Information Center-OMM that a report was received concerning the death of Parvana Abbasova, born in 1990, from sustained injuries. Preliminary investigations have established reasonable suspicions that Vasif Abbasov, born in 1983, intentionally killed the victim.
A criminal case has been launched under Article 120.1 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Vasif Abbasov has been detained by the prosecutor's office as a suspect in the case. Investigative measures are currently ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
