Azerbaijan's Qarabağ FK has strengthened its position in the world club rankings, climbing nine places to reach the 60th spot globally.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this advancement was reflected in the latest list released by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The Aghdam representative, known as the "Horsemen," currently holds 200 points, securing its place among the world's top football clubs.
Among other Azerbaijani representatives, Sabah (96 points) saw a positive shift, rising from 224th to 211th place. However, other local clubs experienced a decline in the standings: Zira (63 points) dropped from 389th to 418th, while Araz-Nakhchivan (59 points) moved from 456th to the 468th position. The global ranking, which features a total of 502 clubs, is currently led by France's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) with 595 points.
The IFFHS rankings are determined based on club performances in both domestic and international competitions over a 12-month period. Qarabağ's consistent presence in the upper echelons of the list underscores its dominance in the Azerbaijan Premier League and its regular participation in the group stages of UEFA competitions. As the most successful club in modern Azerbaijani history, Qarabağ continues to represent the country's sporting achievements on the global stage, particularly following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and the return of sports development to the liberated territories including Aghdam.
