Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads and avenues in Baku today, causing delays for commuters across the capital. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intellectual Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released official data regarding the current traffic situation on the city's primary arteries.

The ITMC reports that heavy vehicle density is currently observed at the following locations: Baku-Sumgait highway toward the 20 January metro station; Ali Mustafayev Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; Tbilisi Avenue from 20 January metro station toward the city center; Abdulvahab Salamzade Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; Babek Avenue toward the center; and both the main and auxiliary lanes of Heydar Aliyev Avenue toward the city center. Additionally, congestion is noted on Yusif Safarov Street, Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue, Mikayil Mushfiq Street from the Badamdar circle toward School-Lyceum No. 20, 1st Gol Kanari Road, Rashid Behbudov Street toward the Central Bank, and Binagadi highway toward the Azadlig Prospekti metro station.

Traffic congestion in Azerbaijan's capital often peaks during morning and evening rush hours due to the high volume of vehicles entering the city from suburban areas and neighboring Sumgait. The Intellectual Transport Management Center continuously monitors these routes to regulate traffic light timings and provide real-time updates to drivers. Authorities recommend that motorists use alternative routes where possible to avoid the most affected areas and ensure smoother transit through the capital's transport network.
