Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads and arteries in Baku. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Digital Development and Transport Agency's Intellectual Transport Management Center (NIIM) has released the latest data regarding the current transport situation in the capital.
The NIIM reports that traffic density is currently observed in the following directions:
ol>Khatai Avenue, towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 January" metro station;Tbilisi Avenue, from the intersection with Izmir Street towards the "20 January" metro station;Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;1st Gol Kenari road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;Gara Garayev Avenue, from "Gara Garayev" metro station towards "Koroglu" metro station;Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;Binagadi highway, towards "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, towards the city center;Babek Avenue, towards the city center;8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, towards the "Koroglu" metro station.Traffic congestion in Azerbaijan's capital often intensifies during peak morning and evening hours due to the high volume of vehicles entering the city center from surrounding residential areas and suburban settlements. The Intellectual Transport Management Center (NIIM) continuously monitors the road network in Baku using electronic displays and surveillance systems to provide real-time updates to motorists and optimize traffic flow through signal adjustments.
