President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Swiss Confederation on January 19 to participate in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed at Zurich International Airport by high-ranking official representatives.
The World Economic Forum, held annually in Davos, serves as a premier global platform for political, business, and academic leaders to discuss pressing international issues. Azerbaijan has maintained a consistent presence at the forum, utilizing the summit to highlight the country's strategic role in regional energy security, transport logistics, and economic diversification. During the visit, President Ilham Aliyev is expected to engage in a series of bilateral meetings with heads of state and international organizations to further strengthen Azerbaijan's diplomatic and economic ties on the global stage.
