President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter reads:
“Dear Madam President,
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Moldova, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to all your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
It is gratifying to see the development of traditional friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova on an upward trajectory today.
I am confident that, in accordance with the will of our peoples, who are bound by ties of friendship, we will continue to consistently pursue our efforts toward the comprehensive development of relations between our countries and the further deepening of our cooperation.
On this significant day, I wish you good health, happiness, and success in your high state activities, and lasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Moldova.”
Azerbaijan and Moldova have maintained diplomatic relations since the early 1990s, characterized by mutual respect and cooperation across various sectors, including energy, agriculture, and cultural exchange. The two nations frequently engage in high-level dialogues to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for economic partnership within the framework of international organizations.
