President Ilham Aliyev has expressed his gratitude to the Kyrgyz Republic for its support in the reconstruction and restoration efforts underway in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state made these remarks while addressing the 3rd meeting of the Interstate Council between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, held in the city of Cholpon-Ata.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the assistance in the restoration of Garabagh. The school we opened together in the Aghdam region bears the name of Manas, and children are already studying there. This school is yet another symbol of our brotherhood and will forever remain a monument to the unity of our peoples. Not only the residents of Garabagh but all the people of Azerbaijan appreciate this," President Ilham Aliyev stated.

The reconstruction of the Garabagh region is a top priority for the Azerbaijani government following the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020. The region, which suffered decades of destruction, is currently undergoing a massive revitalization process, including the construction of modern infrastructure, residential areas, and social facilities. International cooperation, such as the support provided by Kyrgyzstan, plays a vital role in these efforts, reflecting the strong strategic partnership and cultural ties between the two Turkic-speaking nations.
