President Ilham Aliyev has signed decrees recalling several heads of diplomatic missions from their posts in various countries.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Fuad Eldar oglu Iskandarov has been recalled from his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

By another decree of the head of state, Mammad Bahaddin oglu Ahmadzada has been recalled from his positions as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Netherlands and as the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Furthermore, Vagif Ismayil oglu Sadigov has been recalled from his posts as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as Head of the Representation of Azerbaijan to the European Union.

The recall of diplomatic representatives is a standard procedure in the foreign service of Azerbaijan, typically occurring as part of the regular rotation of diplomatic staff. These changes are aimed at optimizing the efficiency of Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions abroad and aligning them with the country's evolving foreign policy priorities and international engagements.
