For the past five to six years, the people of Azerbaijan have been living with a justified sense of pride.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a meeting with residents returning to the villages of Kuzeykhirman and Guneykhirman in the Khojavand district.
The head of state emphasized the significance of recent national achievements, stating: "We have shown the whole world that we are a great nation, loyal to our ancestral traditions."
The return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands, including the Khojavand district, is a cornerstone of the government's post-conflict reconstruction strategy. Following the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, which restored Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, the state has prioritized the "Great Return" program, focusing on the restoration of infrastructure and the resettlement of citizens to liberated territories such as Shusha, Fuzuli, and Khojavand.
