Prime Minister Ali Asadov met today with the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Giorgi Qvarakidze, to discuss bilateral cooperation.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the meeting highlighted the successful development of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, which are based on mutual trust and good-neighborly principles.

During the discussions, both sides expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of effective cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two nations, mirroring the robust ties observed across other sectors. The participants emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts to combat transnational crime, cybercrime, and other modern security challenges. They further agreed that continued exchange of experience and information in areas of mutual interest would serve to deepen professional cooperation.

The meeting also addressed future prospects for collaboration between the prosecution services of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev also attended the meeting.

Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a long-standing strategic partnership, characterized by significant joint energy and transport projects, such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the Middle Corridor initiative. Regular high-level diplomatic and inter-agency exchanges are a cornerstone of the bilateral relationship, ensuring regional stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus.
