Turkish Parliament Speaker to visit Baku for OIC conference

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) Numan Kurtulmuş is set to visit Azerbaijan.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing TRT Haber, the visit is scheduled in connection with the 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During the conference, Numan Kurtulmuş is expected to deliver a speech addressing the development of political, economic, and inter-parliamentary cooperation among Islamic nations. He will also emphasize the necessity of strengthening international solidarity to support millions of people displaced by wars and crises.

In addition to his plenary address, the TBMM Speaker is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders from participating nations and representatives of various international organizations.

The 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC serves as a critical platform for expanding cooperation among the legislative bodies of the Islamic world and facilitating high-level discussions on pressing regional and global challenges. The event will be hosted by the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan in Baku on June 23-24.
