Traffic congestion reported on major roads in Baku

Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads in Baku, causing delays for commuters across the capital.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current road conditions.

According to the latest data, traffic density is currently observed in the following locations:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, service road, towards the city center;
  • 1st Lakeside Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
  • Binagadi highway, towards the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station.

Baku, as the rapidly developing capital of Azerbaijan, frequently experiences traffic density during peak hours due to the high volume of vehicles and ongoing urban infrastructure projects. The Intelligent Transport Management Center continuously monitors these conditions to optimize traffic flow and ensure public safety throughout the city.
