Paşinyan: “Zayed İnsan Qardaşlığı Mükafatı” hər bir erməni və azərbaycanlı üçün eyni dərəcədə vacibdir

The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is equally significant for every Azerbaijani and Armenian citizen, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during the award ceremony in Abu Dhabi.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Prime Minister emphasized the collective nature of the achievement. "When there is vision and wisdom, incredible things happen. I believe the peace agreement was reached because both Armenia and Azerbaijan understood the necessity of ending the conflict now. Otherwise, it would never stop and would bring more suffering to both countries and peoples. Although the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity was officially presented to the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, it is actually an achievement belonging to our nations," Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister noted that while the leaders took courageous steps, it was the people's desire to embrace a new future that made the historic moment possible. "I would like to thank both our peoples for realizing that the past is unchangeable and beyond our control. Therefore, we should not focus on what we cannot change, but on creating a peaceful and prosperous future for our nations," he added.

During his speech, Pashinyan also expressed deep gratitude to US President Donald Trump for his role in the process. "A key factor in the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan was the personal involvement and commitment to the ideal of peace. We hope to have the honor of attending the ceremony where US President Donald Trump is presented with the Nobel Peace Prize he deserves," Pashinyan remarked.

The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is a global prize established to recognize individuals and entities making profound contributions to peaceful coexistence and human progress. The recent normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, supported by international mediation, aims to establish lasting stability in the South Caucasus based on the principles of territorial integrity and sovereign borders.
