Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has outlined his country's strategic steps toward ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister noted that Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir are exerting maximum efforts at all levels to facilitate the resolution of issues between Iran and the United States, with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable regional peace.
Minister Naqvi emphasized that both the Prime Minister and the Army Chief are directly supervising the diplomatic process. "The primary objective is the establishment of long-term peace in the region," the minister stated, highlighting Pakistan's role as a mediator in de-escalating geopolitical frictions that impact the broader Islamic world and global security.
Pakistan has historically maintained a balanced foreign policy, often seeking to mediate between regional rivals to prevent large-scale conflict. As a key partner to both Western powers and neighboring regional states, Islamabad's diplomatic intervention is seen as a critical component in maintaining the delicate balance of power in the Middle East. These efforts align with broader international initiatives, including those supported by US President Donald Trump, to foster stability and prevent further escalation in the Persian Gulf and surrounding territories.
