A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan, causing significant alarm among the local population. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cited reports from NDTV, the country's National Seismic Monitoring Center confirmed the seismic event.

At this time, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant structural damage resulting from the tremor. Authorities are currently assessing the situation to determine the full impact of the earthquake on the affected regions.

It should be noted that this seismic event follows another tremor measuring 5.3 in magnitude that was recorded in the country just hours earlier on Friday evening. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center, the epicenter of the earlier quake was located at a depth of 75 kilometers. Pakistan is situated in a seismically active region, frequently experiencing earthquakes due to its location near the boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, which often necessitates stringent building codes and disaster preparedness protocols.
