Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies successfully solved 40 crimes recorded across the country on March 23, along with five additional cases remaining from previous periods, according to official data.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) press service told Operative Information Center-OMM that a total of 30 individuals on the wanted list were detained and handed over to the relevant authorities. Among those apprehended, 16 people were being sought as debtors. Furthermore, police identified two facts related to drug offenses and 19 cases involving the discovery and seizure of illegally possessed weapons and ammunition. In total, 37 individuals suspected of committing various crimes were detained during the operations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan regularly conducts comprehensive operational measures to ensure public safety and combat the illegal circulation of narcotics and firearms. These efforts are part of a broader national strategy to maintain stability and uphold the rule of law in Azerbaijan. The ministry continues to urge citizens to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities to the 102 Call Center or local police departments.
