Police have detained two individuals suspected of committing separate thefts in the Nizami and Nasimi districts of Baku, involving electronic equipment and personal property.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told Operative Information Center-OMM that reports were received regarding the theft of a laptop, computer, and other electrical equipment from an office in the Nizami district, as well as a bicycle in the Nasimi district. Following operational measures conducted by police officers, the suspects, identified as E. Azimov and G. Safarov, were identified and taken into custody.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to carry out comprehensive investigative measures to determine the full extent of the suspects' involvement in these and potentially other criminal activities. In Azerbaijan, the MIA and its local police departments maintain a rigorous focus on urban security and the protection of private property, utilizing advanced surveillance and rapid response protocols to address property crimes in the capital.
Investigations into both cases are currently ongoing under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
