On August 2, the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is expected to remain dry, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

As reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a moderate north-westerly wind will prevail throughout the day.

Temperatures in the capital are forecast to range between 23-26°C (73-79°F) at night and 29-34°C (84-93°F) during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be 760 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 70-75% at night and 45-50% during the day.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, weather is generally expected to be dry. However, there is a possibility of brief, light rain and thunderstorms in some mountainous areas during the daytime. Occasional fog is expected in certain mountainous regions during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate easterly wind.

Temperatures in the regions are forecast to be 22-26°C (72-79°F) at night and 34-39°C (93-102°F) during the day. In the mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 15-20°C (59-68°F) at night to 23-28°C (73-82°F) during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, is the primary authority responsible for monitoring meteorological conditions and providing early warnings for extreme weather events across the country. These daily updates are critical for public safety, agriculture, and transport planning, particularly during the summer season when high temperatures and localized precipitation patterns are common.
