The latest relocation convoys have reached the villages of Vangli, Childiran, Ashaghi Oratagh, Heyvali, and Chapar in the Aghdara district, as well as Dashbulag village in the Khojaly district.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during this stage of the Great Return program, keys to new homes were presented to the returning families. The distribution included 4 families (18 people) to Vangli, 2 families (5 people) to Childiran, 9 families (56 people) to Ashaghi Oratagh, 3 families (13 people) to Heyvali, and 2 families (6 people) to Chapar in the Aghdara district, while 1 family (4 people) was resettled in Dashbulag village of the Khojaly district.

The ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, alongside representatives from the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. These families, who had been temporarily residing in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings across various parts of Azerbaijan, are now being provided with modern housing and infrastructure in their ancestral lands.

This resettlement process is part of the "Great Return" state program, a strategic initiative launched by President Ilham Aliyev to restore and repopulate the territories liberated from occupation. Following the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty over these regions, the government has accelerated large-scale reconstruction projects, including the building of "smart villages," schools, and hospitals to ensure a sustainable and high-quality living standard for the returning population. The systematic return of internally displaced persons remains a top priority for the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration as part of the national development strategy.
