Traffic congestion has been observed on several major roads in Baku, impacting the daily commute for many residents.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.
As of the latest update, heavy traffic is being recorded at the following locations:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- "20 Yanvar" circle;
- 1st Lake side road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, towards the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
- 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center.
Baku, as the rapidly growing capital of Azerbaijan, frequently experiences traffic density during peak hours due to the high volume of vehicles and ongoing infrastructure development projects aimed at improving the city's transport network.
