The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted a bill on amendments to the Law on Aviation during its plenary session held today.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the new legislation establishes updated protocols for the use of airspace and flight operations. Notably, the regulations governing the use of airspace and flight procedures for ultralight aircraft will now be determined by the relevant executive authority, streamlining oversight in this sector.
The aviation sector in Azerbaijan has been undergoing significant modernization as part of the country's broader transport infrastructure development strategy. These legislative updates are designed to align national aviation standards with international safety requirements and to better regulate the growing number of small and ultralight aircraft operating within the country's airspace, ensuring enhanced safety and efficiency for all air traffic participants.
