The Russian national messaging platform "Max" has become available for users in Turkmenistan, marking a further expansion of the application's regional footprint.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing TASS, that the service is now fully operational within the country.
According to reports, users in Turkmenistan can register on the messenger using local TM Cell mobile numbers. Upon completing the registration process, subscribers gain access to the full suite of the application's communication features. Currently, the "Max" messenger is available to users in Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Moldova, Malaysia, the UAE, Thailand, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The expansion of digital communication tools in Central Asia reflects a growing trend of regional integration in the technology sector. This development follows reports from Forbes magazine on February 4, which noted that the American version of the messenger ranked among the top five most popular messaging services in Russia as of December 2025. The introduction of such platforms in Azerbaijan and neighboring states aims to provide diversified digital infrastructure and enhance cross-border connectivity within the CIS and beyond.
