First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva has shared a social media post congratulating the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Od Charsanbasi (Fire Tuesday).
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the post reads: "May Almighty God never withhold His mercy from our people! Happy Od Charsanbasi!"
Od Charsanbasi is the second of the four festive Tuesdays celebrated in Azerbaijan leading up to the Novruz holiday. According to ancient traditions, this day symbolizes the power of fire and the sun, representing the awakening of nature and the warming of the earth. In Azerbaijan, it is customary to light bonfires on this day, as fire is historically viewed as a symbol of purification and warmth, marking the transition from winter to spring.
