Rainy weather conditions are expected in Baku and the regions of Azerbaijan on March 3. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued an official report regarding the upcoming atmospheric conditions.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast. While the day will start mostly dry, there is a high probability of intermittent rain during the afternoon hours. Weak fog is anticipated in the morning and at night, accompanied by a moderate southwest wind. The temperature in the capital will range from 1-3°C at night to 6-10°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will drop from 768 mm to 764 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 60-75%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, weather conditions will remain mostly dry; however, precipitation and snow are expected in some eastern districts during the night and morning hours. East winds will prevail, and light fog may occur in various areas. In the lowlands, temperatures will fluctuate between 1-5°C at night and 9-14°C during the day. In mountainous regions, temperatures will drop to 3-8°C below zero at night, while high-altitude areas may see lows of 10-15°C below zero. Drivers are advised to remain cautious as icy road conditions are likely in several mountainous districts.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations in early March are characteristic of the region's transitional climate, often requiring increased attention to maritime and transport safety due to visibility and road conditions.
