Peter Magyar, the leader of the Tisza party and Hungary's presumptive future prime minister, has issued a sharp ultimatum to President Tamas Sulyok and several high-ranking officials, demanding their voluntary resignation by May 31.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, Magyar warned that those who do not step down will be removed from their positions. "Orban's puppets can leave their posts voluntarily until May 31. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Supreme Court, the National Justice Authority, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General," he stated, adding that the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation.
The political landscape in Hungary underwent a significant shift following the parliamentary elections held on April 12. The Tisza party secured a decisive victory, winning 141 seats in the Hungarian parliament, while the Fidesz alliance and the Christian Democratic People's Party, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, obtained 52 seats. This transition marks a major departure from the previous administration's policies as the new leadership prepares to take office and restructure state institutions.
