Foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) are exempt from the requirement to register at their place of residence. This exemption applies to individuals arriving either with a specific WUF13 visa or through the UN-Habitat registration process.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the State Migration Service has announced that this simplified procedure will remain in effect for a period of 30 days. The 13th session of the World Urban Forum is scheduled to be held in Baku from May 17 to 22, attracting a diverse range of international participants to the capital.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the world's premier conference on sustainable urban development. Hosting WUF13 reflects Azerbaijan's increasing role as a global hub for international dialogue and its commitment to addressing the challenges of rapid urbanization. The event serves as a platform for government officials, urban experts, and civil society to share innovative solutions for creating more resilient and inclusive cities.
