Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva visited the Juma Mosque, one of the significant historical and architectural monuments of the city, during their trip to the Quba district on February 24.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during the visit, the imam of the mosque, Seyran Farajzade, and the chairman of the mosque's religious community, Ilgar Bayramov, provided detailed information about the Quba Juma Mosque.
It was noted that the mosque, being one of the unique architectural examples of the 19th century, holds an important place in the religious and cultural life of the region. It was also mentioned that a Quran course operates within the mosque. Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva visited the classroom dedicated to these studies. At the conclusion of the visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva were presented with the Holy Quran as a gift.
The Quba Juma Mosque is a prominent landmark in northern Azerbaijan, characterized by its distinctive faceted cylinder shape and large dome, reflecting the traditional school of architecture in the region. Such visits by representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation underscore the state's commitment to preserving Azerbaijan's multicultural heritage and the restoration of historical religious sites across the country.
