Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has awarded high-ranking commanders of the Air Force and Special Forces of Azerbaijan. The ceremony recognized the distinguished service and contributions of these military leaders to the nation's defense capabilities.

According to the order issued by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, Lieutenant-General Namig Islamzade, Deputy Minister of Defense and Commander of the Air Force, who is also a Hero of the Patriotic War, was awarded an honorary diploma. Additionally, Major-General Alakbar Jahangirov, Commander of the Special Forces and a Hero of the Patriotic War, was awarded the "For Distinction in Military Service" 2nd-degree medal.
These awards highlight the ongoing efforts of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to modernize and strengthen their operational readiness. The Air Force and Special Forces have played pivotal roles in recent years, particularly in ensuring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and maintaining security in the liberated Garabagh region.
