Military industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, and storage facilities in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and the surrounding region have been struck by Russian forces.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the strikes, stating that the Russian military targeted key military infrastructure during overnight operations.
The ministry reported that the strikes successfully hit several strategic facilities in Kyiv, including the "Fire Point," "Ukrspecsystems," and "Antonov" plants, which are reportedly involved in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missile components. A munitions depot was also destroyed in the operation.
In the Kyiv region, the "Martusovka" logistics center, utilized for the transport of UAVs and robotic systems, was targeted alongside fuel and lubricant storage facilities. These attacks follow reports from the previous day regarding strikes on military warehouses in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk and Yuzhny.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the operations were conducted using a combination of high-precision ground, air, and sea-based weaponry, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which escalated significantly in February 2022, continues to see frequent long-range strikes on critical infrastructure, deeply impacting the industrial and logistical capabilities of the involved regions.
